TAX STRATEGY

Make Better Tax Decisions Before Tax Season

The best tax planning happens throughout the year, not just when it's time to file. Learn practical strategies, avoid common mistakes, and understand how the tax system really works.

MY PHILOSPHY

You should pay no more in taxes than you legally owe.

Taxes are a part of life, but paying more than required isn't. I believe good tax planning is built on understanding the law, making informed decisions, and avoiding shotrouts that can create bigger problems later.

Whether you're an employee, business owner, or investor, my goal is to help you understand the rules so you can confidently make better financial decisions.

Avoid Ghost Preparers

Every paid preparer should sign the tax return they prepare. If they won't, then walk away.

Beware of "Tax Strategy" Marketing

There is no credential called a "Tax Strategist". Focus on experience, credentials, and
ethical advice rather than fancy marketing titles.

If It Sounds Too Good To Be True...

Promises to eliminate all of your taxes or settle IRS debt for pennies on the dollar rarely apply to most
taxpayers.

Questions I Often Receive

Below are some of the most common questions I receive regarding taxes.

AVOID TAX RESOLUTION SCAMS

The tax resolution industry is filled with bad actors. I can't stress this enough.

Many of the companies you hear advertising on television and radio make big promises through salespeople, but deliver very little of real value. In many cases, taxpayers pay thousands of dollars only to discover they never qualified for the relief they were promised.

Watch my conversation with tax resolution experts Michael Sullivan and Peter Salinger to learn how these scams work, who actually qualifies for IRS relief programs, and what you should know before hiring anyone.

Questions?

If you're unsure where to start, I'd be happy to hear about your situation. While I accept only a limited number of new clients, I'm always happy to point people in the right direction whenever I can.

A FINAL THOUGHT

The tax code is complicated.
Good advice shouldn't be.

My goal isn't to help you avoid taxes.
It's to help you avoid paying more than the law requires.
